Career Statistics

Full-back who joined Melbourne in mid-1942. Named in the selected side for Round 5, 1942 but did not play. Trained again with the Demons in the 1943 pre-season. He made the senior list but did not play a senior game.

Previously with Essendon 1932 to 1934, then back to Brunswick in 1935. In 1936 he applied for a clearance to Melbourne but Essendon refused to let him go. Essendon also unsuccessfully tried to get him back in the 1937 pre-season, and though he never rejoined them they wouldn't clear Fay to South Melbourne in 1939.

Served with the RAAF (111 Air Sea Rescue Flight) during World War II, then returned to Brunswick in 1946 after his discharge.
