Defender/on-baller who came into the 1939 Grand Final side as a replacement for the suspended Wally Lock. The premiership victory was just his 11th senior game. Kimberley played just four more matches, one each in 1940 and 1941 before returning in 1944 for two more.

After one game in 1940 he was sought by South Melbourne in the 1941 pre-season but Melbourne refused to let him go. He played one more game that year, two in 1942 then returned for two more in 1944. Joined Port Melbourne in August 1945.
