Also known as 'Vince', the wingman and centre won the award for best player in the VFL Seconds in his debut season as a wingman.

He only played nine senior games before being cleared to Oakleigh in July 1930, where he remained through 1933.

He later played for Darling, then joined East Malvern without a clearance. In 1934 his application for an official clearance to East Malvern was refused.
