Forward/rover who left Melbourne after one season and returned to Bendigo. He missed several weeks in the middle of the season after being injured during a game, then returned to play two games late in the year.
In 1924 he played for Footscray in the VFA, also appearing with them in their 1925 VFL debut season.
His son George played eight games for North Melbourne in 1943 and 1944.
