After playing one Reserves game during 1971, half-forward Kevin 'Wayne' Delmenico made his senior debut late the next year and remained on Melbourne's senior list until the end of 1975. The defender's best season was his last, as he played senior 14 games.
After leaving Melbourne, Delmenico joined North Darwin, then signed with South Fremantle in 1976. He played 128 games in eight seasons for the Swans, won a premiership and represented Western Australia. He retired from WAFL football at the end of 1983 and captain/coached the Canning and Fremantle teams until the end of 1987. During the 80s he also worked as part of Melbourne's scouting team in Western Australia.
