The brother of Jack Huntington debuted 59 days after his 30th birthday during Melbourne's disaster of a 1919 season. He only managed three games.

A third brother, Les, also played for Collingwood in 1914. His son Bill played three games for Carlton in 1950.

Huntington played cricket for the Coburg and Caulfield clubs.
