Wingman who never tasted defeat during his career, playing in four wins with the Magpies then crossing to Melbourne for a draw. He is one of only a handful of players to end their AFL/VFL careers without ever playing in a loss in five games or more.
McKenzie remained at Melbourne through 1955 and signed for VFA side Sandringham in 1956. He played 16 games for them that year.
