Forward who signed during 1944 but wasn't cleared to the club until the following season. Several other clubs had sought his services but Wilson chose the Demons. He made his debut early in the year and played seven games as a half-forward flank, then returned for three as full forward in 1946. He'd given notice of his talent as a spearhead when he kicked 15 goals in an exhibition game at Warracknabeal.

Cleared to VFA side Brighton in April 1948, but was back at Cheltenham in 1949.

His brother trialled with the side in the 1946 pre-season but was not selected.
