Lawrence Michael 'Mick' Comber was a rover who joined after playing three games for Port in 1927. He was cleared to the senior side in June 1929 after playing for the Seconds earlier in the year.
Despite only appearing once for Melbourne in 1929, Comber played in a Seconds flag two years later and remained with the club through 1932. In 1931 he finished third in voting for the league Seconds best and fairest.
Cleared to Dunkeld in May 1934.

Notes
Shown as 'Coomber' in some contemporary newspapers.. Also shown as a forward. Likely not the C. Coomber cleared from Werribee in 1926. Probably the 1921 Seconds Comber from Port Melbourne. Full name LM Comber.
