DOB: July 15 1981
Number: 17 2002
The son of Denis Clark finished in the top three of the Eastern Ranges best and fairest in both years he played for the club before following his father to Melbourne. He spent much of his early days at the Demons playing for Sandringham and won a reserves premiership player with the Zebras in 2000 despite missing much of the season with injury.
Wearing his original number 39 he made his first appearance for the Demons, in an international game against the Crows in London at the end of that year. The next year he played a NAB Cup match, and was named as an emergency several times early in the season but didn't feature in the seniors.
Johnson suffered a setback in the middle of the season when he broke wrists on both hands, but was eventually picked to make his debut in Round 22, 2002. He had originally been selected as an emergency but was called up to the senior side after two injuries. He kicked a goal in his only game but was delisted at the end of the year. Picked up again through the rookie draft he failed to add to his one senior game - his season was ended in June of 2003 when he suffered a ruptured spleen in a VFL match.
Some sources list him as being from Mitcham.
