DOB: 18 March 1964

The ex-Northern Bullants, and three time Sandringham premiership coach, applied for the vacant senior coaching role after Neale Daniher resigned but was unsuccessful. Despite this he was added to the coaching panel and in 2011 he was billed as "Ball movement coach".

Williams started his football career at Carlton in the Under 19's in 1981 and played his first senior match two years later. He played just 33 games over eight seasons, including his last two at Footscray. In his time with the Blues Williams won two reserves premierships.

After the Bulldogs, Williams joined Sandringham and played in the winning 1992 VFA premiership side before coaching at St Paul's East Bentleigh until being recruited back to the VFA/VFL to coach the Northern (Preston) Bullants where he was in charge between 1998 and 2003.

After winning three straight premierships with the affiliate side, Williams applied for the senior job but even though he was unsuccessful he was invited to join the Demons coaching panel in 2008 as Development Coach. He left Sandringham with a record of 62 wins from 83 matches and coached the VFL against the WAFL in 2007.

After two years as an assistant coach in 2009 and 2010 he became Ball Movement coach but was released by the club at the end of 2011. He then joined Richmond, and in 2013 was Midfield Spread coach.
