Rover who first trained with Melbourne in the 1934 pre-season but did not play a senior game. Carr returned in 1935, but despite being added to the senior list before the season started, the club couldn't get a clearance for him until before Round 6, 1935. The quick wingman made his senior debut two weeks later but played just one more game the following week before his senior VFL career ended.
Carr was dropped from Melbourne's list in April 1936 and returned to Stawell in 1937.
