From: Collingwood

The captain of the 1981 Victorian Teal Cup squad made his debut for Collingwood the next year, playing two games in 1982 and one more in 1984.

Midway through 1984 the ruckman was sent to Melbourne as payment for another ruckman Glenn McLean who had finally won his battle to make it to Victoria Park. He played one more game for the Pies before joining Melbourne but injured his knee and missed the rest of the year.

When he suffered a shoulder injury in the 1985 pre-season that required a reconstruction Melbourne axed him from the senior list. He joined VFA side Preston, then played for Bulleen-Templestowe and finally Norwood before retiring at 24 due to constant knee and shoulder trouble.
