Biggest loss against Greater Western Sydney
Given a good chance at snapping their seven game losing streak against fellow cellar dwellers GWS, the Demons suffered an ignominious defeat on the home soil.
After an even first quarter the Giants began to ran away with the game in the second, but as they did they started to lose players. Three of their best - Phil Davis, Jon Patton and Callan Ward - were all knocked out of the match by half time. Despite only having one player left on the bench in the second half the Giants ran away with the game and registered both their first win at the MCG but also their then largest victory ever.
Best were Jetta, Jones and Vince.
Aidan Riley replaced Jack Grimes in the third quarter when Grimes suffered a hamstring injury.
