Career Statistics

The captain of the 1981 Victorian Teal Cup squad - who had also played for the team a year earlier - made his debut for Collingwood the next year, playing two games in 1982 and one more in 1984.

Midway through 1984 the ruckman was sent to Melbourne along with a reported $40,000 for another ruckman Glenn McLean who had finally won his battle to make it to Victoria Park. He played one more game for the Pies before joining Melbourne but injured his knee and missed the rest of the year.

When Keenan suffered a shoulder injury in the first training session of the 1985 pre-season Melbourne dropped him from the senior list. He played on at VFA side Preston but continued to have shoulder issues and later required a reconstruction. After another go at making the Collingwood list for 1986, Keenan then played for Bulleen-Templestowe and finally Norwood before retiring at 24 due to constant knee and shoulder trouble.

Notes
His last game at Collingwood can't have been a senior match, as the clearance occurred almost three weeks after his last game in the Magpie firsts.
