George Frederick "Ted" Regan was a defender who joined Melbourne's Seconds side in 1936, and was promoted to the senior side before the 1938 season. After being dropped from Melbourne's list for 1939 he moved to Essendon, playing seven games until 1941.
He missed 1940 after injuring his knee late in his first season. He spent the year working as an accountant, and with the Army in the 2 Survey Regiment. He transferred to the RAAF in August of that year, serving with 11 Squadron, but returned to football the next season. His last league game was the Bombers' 1941 Grand Final loss against Melbourne.
Regan was promoted to Flight Sergeant in December 1942 and piloted a bomber before being killed in air action over Burma in July 1943.
