George Frederick "Ted" Regan was a defender who joined Melbourne's Seconds side in 1936, and was promoted to the senior side before the 1938 season. He transferred to Essendon in 1939 and played seven games until 1941.

He had missed the 1940 season after injuring his knee late in his first season. He spent the year working as an accountant, but returned the next season and his last league game was the Bombers 1941 Grand Final loss against Melbourne.

A member of the RAAF during WWII, Regan was promoted to Flight Sergeant in December 1942 but was killed over Burma in July 1943.
