Tall defender who played 13 games over three seasons for Fitzroy from 1986 to 1988 before missing the entire 1989 season. After being dropped by Fitzroy he was on the way to Werribee in the VFA before Melbourne grabbed him in the pre-season draft as a replacement for knee injury victim Jamie Duursma.

Cameron played five consecutive games in mid-1990, and remained at Melbourne until being dropped from the list in the 1991 pre-season. Cameron then joined VFA side Prahran, and played a year with them..
