A week after losing to Hawthorn by 105 points the Demons bounced back with a win.
Jesse Hogan kicked the first goal for Melbourne within 30 seconds, but from there the Bulldogs dominated the next few minutes without reward - allowing their opponents to take the lead into quarter time.
They ran up a lead of over five goals with a four goal to one second quarter before the Bulldogs bounced back and cut the gap to seven with the first goal of the last quarter. It was their last major of the day as Melbourne then piled on the last five to win comfortably.
Best were vandenBerg, Pedersen and Vince. Aidan Riley replaced Matt Jones at three-quarter time after Jones was caught by a crude Brett Goodes bump.
