Centreman/follower who joined Melbourne in the 1948 pre-season after playing for Tasmania in the national carnival. Was showing promise when a serious knee injury put him out. Leedham returned to Tasmania and joined home town team Campbell Town in 1950, where he remained for two years before returning to North Launceston as captain/coach.
Coached North Hobart 1954 to 1959, including a 1957 premiership and captain/coached his state in the 1958 interstate carnival.
Named vice-captain of the Tasmanian team of the century, and named to the Tasmanian Hall of Fame.
