Defender who played in the Collingwood Under 19s from 1971 to 1973 before appearing in 17 senior matches. Dellamarta was a prize recruit when Melbourne acquired him along with Wayne Gordon and Phil Carman in 1979 as a swap for Ross Brewer.
He saw the start of his season wrecked by a dislocated shoulder during a practice match, and played just two games for the club. Joined VFA side Prahran in 1980, remaining there until early 1981, when he suffered a knee injury.
Played a combined 142 Reserves games for Collingwood and Melbourne.
