DOB: 9 October 1977
The backline coach from season 2012 came to Melbourne with the experience of having senior coached Richmond for half a season in 2009. He had previously coached the Tigers' VFL affiliate side Coburg from 2008 until his appointment to the senior coaching role.
After playing 148 matches between 1996 and 2006 with Hawthorn, the Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne, Rawlings became an assistant coach at Richmond in 2007 and stepped up to the senior role when Terry Wallace was sacked midway through 2009.
Before taking over the senior coaching duties Rawlings had been in charge of the Tigers' VFL affiliate Coburg.
Missing out on the senior coaching job at the Tigers, Rawlings joined the Brisbane Lions and spend two years as an assistant coach under Michael Voss before joining Melbourne in September 2011.
In 2018 he coached Casey to a Grand Final. He remained in charge of the Demons' affiliate team until June 2019 when he returned to the senior club as a forward coach. In 2020 he became senior coach of SANFL side Norwood, coaching them to a premiership in 2022.
Rawlings is a member of the Tasmanian Football Hall of Fame.
