Daniel Breese

Image DOB: 21 April, 1983

Games: 0

From: Vermont/Eastern U18, selection #62 2000 National Draft

Drafted as a versatile and athletic defender, Breese impressed recruiters with his high levels of endurance. His career was stalled in 2001 when he suffered a year ending knee injury during the pre-season, underwent a reconstruction and was replaced on the senior list by Darren Jolly.

Breese returned to play every game for Sandringham in 2002 and was often talked about as a potential late call-up to the side after Alistair Nicholson, Troy Broadbridge and Craig Ellis had all suffered season ending injuries but failed to earn a senior game.

He injured his knee again in a June 2003 VFL game, underwent another complete reconstruction and was delisted at the end of the year. He played 27 senior games for Sandringham for 12 goals.

He wore number 38 in his time on the list.

Breese joined Box Hill in 2004, remaining there through at least 2005. Later at Lilydale from at least 2011 to 2013, and Heathmont from 2014.
