Yzeir "Damien" Yze, three years older than brother Adem, played supplementary list reserves football for Melbourne and Essendon. He had kicked 109 goals for Shepparton in an under 19s season before taking up a cricket scholarship and playing in the Victorian second XI. He agreed to give up football and concentrate on cricket, but in a one off return match for Shepparton kicked nine goals in the first half. When the Victorian coaches read about his exploits he was forced to make a choice and picked footy instead, joining Werribee in 1995 before spending two years in the Demon reserves from 1996 to 1997. He also trained with Carlton, Collingwood, and Essendon but was not drafted.

Yze then joined Tongala before moving to Northcote Park in and playing in three straight Diamond Valley League premierships before joining Ardmona in 2002. That year he kicked 25 goals in a game. Played for Shepparton Swans in 2004.
