In May 1925 Wyatt was cleared from the Melbourne senior side to their Seconds, but was recalled to make his senior debut later in the year.

He was usually a defender but was played out of position on a wing in a shock loss to North Melbourne. Despite an encouraging performance he never played seniors again.

Wyatt remained on Melbourne's playing list in 1926 before playing two years with St Kilda. Appeared with VFA side Port Melbourne in 1930.
