Alan Thomson

DOB: Unknown

The 1950 club secretary started his playing career at Scotch College, then later found himself as a rover with Mooroopna in the Goulburn Valley League with who he won a premiership shortly after World War I.

After his playing career ended he moved to Melbourne and began following Sandringham. In 1945 he was asked to be the Assistant Secretary, and took over the main role in 1947 where he served until being appointed by the Demons.

He only lasted one season and was replaced by Jim Cardwell. In August he was subject of a complaint from Mildura Football Club, who accused them of trying to poach a player after being refused permission to interview him.
