Best were Crosswell, Barnes and Byrne. In his first game for the club Brent Crosswell kicked six goals but was reported for striking and received a four match ban. Michael Byrne was also suspended for one match for striking, and Garry Baker was also reported for striking acquitted.

The 31/03/81 edition of The Age suggests Crosswell was only banned for two matches. It's not known what Baker was reported for.
