The 1984 Richmond Under 19s third best and fairest also played in their Reserves, remaining on the Tigers list through 1986. After playing in the country, Melbourne gave him another chance at senior football in mid-1990. He didn't get past the Reserves, joining Tatura in 1991.

At Balranald in 1999 and also played SANFL for West Adelaide and Sturt.

Played his last senior games for Imperials in 2011 before moving into coaching.
