A centreman who joined Melbourne after being pursued by several league clubs after playing for the Bendigo League against the VFL in 1928.
Esposito was a regular in his first year, but a leg injury in Round 1, 1930 cost him 10 weeks on the sidelines.
An injured shoulder in a 1932 practice match kept him out of the first game of the year. He returned for one more match the following week, then returned to Eaglehawk midway through the season, staying there until 1939.
