Initially clearedfrom Williamstown in May 1932, Streeter played Seconds in his first season, including a premiership, before being promoted to the senior side in 1933. Before that season he was cleared a second time, this time from the Newport club.

Played one season for Footscray in 1934, finishing as runner-up in the Seconds Best and Fairest award, before moving to VFA team Yarraville and playing in their 1935 flag side. He stayed there through 1941, then returned after the war to play in 1945.
