John Rickards

DOB: 1860
Died: 2 June 1886

From: Albert Park/Carlton

Former Carlton player who transferred to Melbourne in 1883 and kicked two goals against his old side. He returned to Carlton in 1884. In 1885 he worked as a VFA umpire, but continued to appear in games with the Blues into 1886.

Began his career with Albert Park in 1877.

Two of his brothers also played for Carlton.
