Former Brunswick vice-president and secretary who presided over their 1938 VFA premiership before resigning in 1941. After a year out of the game due to the Association being in recess he was appointed Melbourne secretary in January 1943, the last part-time holder of the job.
He resigned in October 1947 after finding the strain of business and football activities too much to handle.
In 1970 he worked for the VFL as an investigator.
