Fred Burton

DOB: 2 November 1865
Died: 25 August 1929

From: Waratah

New South Wales rugby and cricket player who had played representative football for his state in 1886. Burton played for Waratah from 1882 to 1887.

He played first class cricket with New South Wales and Victoria, and two test matches for Australia in the 1887/1888 summer, for 22 total first class matches.

Burton joined Melbourne in 1888, but crossed to St KIlda in July when he was omitted from the side. He stayed there through 1889.
