1963 and 1964 Under 19s player who also appeared in two 1964 Reserves games while battling shin splints.
In the 1965 pre-season he injured his knee, then joined VFA side Waverley under ex-Demon Ian Thorogood. Melbourne asked Brewster return in the 1966 pre-season but he remained at Waverley, before joining Sandhurst in 1967 and Albury in 1969.
