Career statistics
1949 pre-season player who didn't play a senior game. His commuting from Albury for games had made it hard for him to play in 1948, but as he had moved to Melbourne it's unlikely he was cleared by South.
His brothers Gordon and Doug played league football with Richmond. In 1938 he played beside Doug at Albury, then went to Richmond the next season before returning to Albury. He again trained with the Tigers during the 1940 and 1941 pre-seasons, returned to the country. In 1941 he was with South Albury, and also played representative cricket for the Victorian Junior Association.
Strang also played with St Kilda seconds, and served during World War II.
Full name Robert Allan Strang.
