Melbourne wrapped up their brief pre-season campaign with an impressive win over a near full-strength Tigers. Strong defense and quick ball-movement helped open up a match-winning five goal lead at quarter time, and new ruck due Brodie Grundy and Max Gawn contributed six goals between them. Richmond staged a brief fightback in the third term before the Demons ran out winners with six last quarter goals.
