After a 14 year wait, the Demons broke through for their first 100 point win since Round 6, 2004, eclipsing that day as their biggest ever win over the Blues.
Despite dominating inside 50s in the first quarter, the Demons were kept to a narrow quarter time lead. For the next three terms they were dominant, kicking 22 of the remaining 26 goals. The margin crossed 100 when Clayton Oliver kicked a goal in the last term, and Jesse Hogan got his first of the day to create a record margin.
Best were Melksham, Gawn and Neal-Bullen.
