Four losses in a row to start the reign of Bob Skilton and it was looking like another long, barren season for the Dees.
On a wet day the Tigers were simply better all over the ground despite good performances from Gary Hardeman and Greg Wells. Unfortunately they didn't have much help from the forwards and Richmond, led ably by Kevin Bartlett, triumphed. Alves was also in the best.
Baker (strained knee ligaments) was replaced by Fitzsimmons in the third quarter and Clennett by Tilbrook in the last quarter.
