One of two vice-presidents - along with Don McLardy - in the Jim Stynes administration. He started in 2009 and continued when McLardy ascended to the presidency.
A lawyer by trade, Jalland was one of the club's representatives in a probe by the AFL into the Demons 2013 season which ultimately ended in the club being fined.
Jalland resigned from the board on 24 June 2013.
