A 'Barrackers' club' had been formed in 1946, then another 'Supporters' Club' began on May 23, 1957. The main objective of the club was "to provide an avenue of contact between players and supporters that is not normally available".
Another Melbourne Supporters' Club is shown in 1953.
The existing cheersquad is known as the Demon Army.
