Biggest win and highest score at Moorabbin
Jackson was forced to sit on the bench for the first quarter after his recent suspension, and the Saints led narrowly at the last change in an entertaining game before being swept away in a final term landslide.
Peter Keenan dominated the ruck and Brent Crosswell was back in the forward line cutting the Saints to shreds and bringing his teammates into the game. The two old stagers provided great entertainment for the crowd, whether the reaction was positive or not. When the game started to get boring in the last quarter and with all his petrol tickets spent Crosswell livened things up by starting trouble with the Saints defenders.
It was Melbourne's biggest ever score and win at the ground.
Icke, Wilson and Keenan were the Demons best. Icke suffered a cut eyebrow, Battiston a hurt thigh and Johnson a hip injury.
