Three time Sandy Bay premiership player and Tasmanian state representative.

Melbourne paid a reported $40-$45,000 for the ruck-rover who had been sought by every league club except Footscray.

After remaining on the Demon list in 1984 and 1985 but not playing seniors, Seddon returned to his original club and was the joint winner of the William Leitch Medal in 1988.

In 2001 Seddon was named in Sandy Bay's all-time best 25 players.
