Utility who previously played state football, but was dogged by a hamstring injury through 2016. She recovered to be a member of Melbourne's first AFLW team, and played the first two games before a ruptured hamstring ended her season. Downie returned to play six of seven games as a defender in 2018, and was named on the bench of the All Australian squad. She remained an ever-present fixture in the Demon backline during 2019.

Restricted by injuries to four games in 2020. A 2021 pre-season injury further hampered her career, not returning until Round 9, before appearing in both the club's finals. She retired at the end of the season.
