Played VFA for Oakleigh from 1974 to 1979 and Prahran in 1980. His career was then affected by injury, playing one game in two years due to a knee injury and medical complications, including blood clots, from surgery to correct the issue in early 1981. He returned to Oakleigh as a member of their recruiting staff in 1987.
