22-year-old interstate centre half-forward who joined in 1933 but returned home during the pre-season. Served in the Army between 1943 and 1946.

Later played for Western Australia, and after appearing in a 1938 match against a combined Melbourne/St Kilda team there was renewed interest in him from VFL scouts but failed to join.
