1895 follower. To WA, then Hawthorn and South Melbourne in 1896.

Played 13 games in South's first VFL season in 1897. Returned to Hawthorn as captain in 1898, then joined West Melbourne halfway through the season and Port Melbourne in 1899. He played for Port until August 1902 when he moved to Sydney.
