After several weeks of easy games, the Demons were jumped from the bounce by Adelaide, who kicked the fastest goal in AFLW history in 15 seconds. They were three goals in front at quarter time and looked comfortable, before Melbourne turned the game on its head. By half time they were back in front, and ran away with the game in the last quarter with the final three goals of the game.
Best were Purcell, Lampard and Bannan. West injured her shin. Tahlia Gillard was fined $400 for a dangerous tackle.
