Played as the second leg of an AFLW doubleheader, Melbourne were wasteful in the first quarter as they held the Bulldogs scoreless but kicked five behinds. The opposition kicked four goals to one in the second quarter, and had the lead out to over two goals in the third term. Melbourne kicked the last before the final change, but trailed for the entire last quarter until Tegan Cunningham converted a set shot with less than a minute left to win and keep her side's finals hopes alive.
Best were Paxman, O'Dea and Cunningham
