Reg Hesford

DOB: 1920
Died: 21 April 1943

From: Claremont

Centre-half forward who travelled to Victoria in 1943 as part of his work as an aircraft designer. Hesford was set to play in a practice match, but complained of headaches after Tuesday night training and died a few hours later. It was reported later that he'd suffered a knock to the head during the training session.
