Peter Slattery DOB: 5 October 1947

From: Caramut

Games: 0
Goals: 0

Highly touted recruit and Mininera League representative who was signed in May 1966 on a three match permit. Melbourne intended for him to play as a half forward flank or ruck rover but he did not appear in the seniors. His signing came after the Demons opened their campaign with seven goals in two games but he didn't progress beyond the Reserves, and crossed to Mortlake.

In 1970 he played with Coolamon and won a premiership, then joined Leeton in 1971 as a playing assistant coach. From 1972 he was at Ardlethan, first as a playing assistant, then as captain/coach in 1973 and 1974. He went back to Leeton in 1975 as a playing assistant and won a premiership in his first year, then played seniors for the next three years while also serving as their Reserves coach and chairman of selectors.

Slattery's maternal uncle was 1941 Melbourne premiership player Warren Lewis.
