Invited to pre-season training by St Kilda before the 1981 season after three years with Ajax, Korn was found to be zoned to Melbourne three weeks before the season began. He was unsuccessful in obtaining a clearance from the Demons and started his career with them as a wingman.
Played in three losses in late 1981 before dropping out of the side and off the list. He then rejoined Ajax, before crossing to Old Melburnians in 1983.
